Michael S. Bradley is one half of the legal team of Bradley & Almerico, LLC, a post he has held since the firm’s inception.
Michael Bradley attended East Ascension high school in Gonzales, La., where he played football, ran track, and was a member of numerous scholastic organizations. During Michael’s senior year in high school, he was nominated president of his senior class and graduated with honors.
In fall of 1995, Michael declined a scholarship to Tulane in order to accept a scholarship at the Louisiana Scholar’s College located in Natchitoches, La. During his time there, he became a class senator and a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Michael graduated and earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1999.
The year 2002 was a big year for Michael. In May of 2002, he married his best friend, Chrissy, and in August of 2002, he made the decision to follow in his older brother’s footsteps by enrolling in Southern University Law Center. Michael earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 2005.
After being sworn in and passing the bar in 2006, Michael Bradley began his legal career in civil law before focusing on criminal law. He decided that civil litigation was not where his passion lied. Michael took a public defender position at the 22nd Indigent Defender’s office in Covington, La. before entering into private practice as a Partner at Bradley & Almerico, LLC.
He has successfully represented thousands of clients throughout Southern Louisiana that have been charged with a crime, as well as clients in the family law and personal injury law areas.
Michael Bradley currently resides in Arabi, La. with his wife, Chrissy, of 16 years.
John M. Almerico was born and grew up in St. Bernard Parish. He attended Holy Cross High School at the old campus on Dauphine Street, where he graduated in 1997. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Southeastern University. In fall 2002, Mr. Almerico enrolled in Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, where John and Michael formed a fast friendship. After receiving his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in May of 2005, John returned to St. Bernard .
Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in August of 2005, causing Mr. Almerico to relocate. After personally experiencing the devastation, John wanted to be part of the recovery process. So, he got a job working for the Road Home Program in 2006, where he helped people secure funds form the grant program in order to start rebuilding their lives.
In 2007, Mr. Almerico accepted a posoition with Mr. Bradley at the 22nd Indigent Defender’s office in Covington, La. During his 8 years as a public defender, John developed his skills as a trial attorney, while also helping countless indigent defendants navigate the criminal justice system in the toughest district in the United States.
In 2013 Michael Bradley and John Almerico made the decision to embark on the next phase of their careers. The two joined forces and opened their own firm, Bradley & Almerico, LLC.
John Almerico currently lives in New Orleans with his wife, Kelly, and their three children.
